Time for another Lacee update. She has now learned the girls don't want to play with her, so she tries to stay clear of them, or they may smack her in the head a few times. Although last night Mama Cat was washing her face just a little, HUGE deal for Mama to do. Mama Cat kisses and washes NO ONE!! She likes Lacee, she just doesn't want anyone to know, she has to keep her alpha status of the cat pack!
Lacee is all play. She loves to run and jump on an unsuspecting Mac. He is very interested in her and does play with her, but she often sneaks up on him for a quick *attack the cat game.*
I have no idea how I managed to get this picture with Ashley in the background, open mouth, wide eyed, scary kitty. I did catch Ashley trying to play with Lacee right before this photo was taken, I was so pleased, as I have never seen Ashley play with other cats except when she was living feral outside. Perhaps Lacee is helping bring a little normalcy in the cat room.
I have been having to clean her ears everyday as they build up with wax very easy, trying to control that. She is so easy, and just lies down and lets me clean them with such ease. She is very trusting.
She is just learning to climb up on the shelves a little more, but for some reason if she tries to go too high, Mac runs and gets in front of her and doesn't let her climb up. I have no idea why, he is not being mean, he just jumps in front and above her, and does not let her pass him, so she ends up climbing back down. I had to hold him once so I can let her get up on one of the trees, but she couldn't figure out how to get down, silly girl. She is still learning her way.
Isn't she just the cutest little thing? She has so much personality. I fall in love with her a little more each day.

Oh I didn't know you had a 'basement cat' too! :) (Ashley)
It's funny how without much in the picture to give scale she looks big and then with Mac she looks so little!
That's how Nyx is...she's sort of a mini-cat.
LOL Stacy,
She does look big when she is by herself, but she is still a very small kitten. She holds her own though, she is a tough little thing.
She's so cute! I can't believe she lets you clean her ears without a fight!
You have done a good job with a feral cat. I'll bet she is happy to be a house cat also.

So cute! I love the 3rd picture...We love kittens in our house but my son is so allergic we can't have one ~ We only have 4 kids and two dogs...
Such pretty markings on her face! And the wrestling picture reminds me of my Newman kitty and his brother Gleek - constantly wrestling and playing!
What a beautiful, sweet cat! :)
Do you think by not letting her climb too high, Mac is protecting her? He saw she couldn't find her way down once and it stuck in his mind. So, if he doesn't let her climb too high, he won't have to worry about her. Well, that's just my take...I like to give human emotions and thoughts to our furry friends...haha.
She has come so very far with the help of you and your husband. I'm so happy to read another update on her. Glad Mama and the others are so accepting!
Love the new pictures and the updates on the little Lacee kitty - she is such a sweetie! I also woner if Mac is trying to protect her by not letting her climb too high.
Lacy is a cuty pie. I can see why mama and human mama fell in love.
BTW- I blushed reading your comment today. I am still laying upside down incase you come back.

I came by to visit after reading the poem Shay wrote for you. These are great kitty photos.
Betty and DG,
Ha ha, Hubby thinks the same thing. When he watched what Mac does, he believes he is protecting Lacee. He never takes an eye off of her, and the minute she tries to climb, he is right there. You all could be right!
When she runs, her legs are all over the place, she is not very stable, but does get around! I am sure Mac knows this, I think they all know this, which is why they are all so good with her.
Pouty Lips, thank you for stopping by.
This is an absolutely beautiful cat! She seems very playful and adorable as well!
