A New Toy

We bought this new scratcher last weekend. I must admit, no money is ever wasted when it comes to the cats. No matter what I buy for them, from the smallest cheapest toy, to the largest most expensive tree, they all get used and played with. They are so easy to please.

Lacee just loves to play in the tunnel part. Good news to report with Lacee, finally for the past three days, she has not gotten into any trouble climbing the walls or the door while being left alone. She has earned the privilege to wander about with the other cats now without my direct supervision. Hopefully we continue on this good streak.
Mac is always found laying or standing on the scratcher. In fact sometimes he becomes just a little bossy when the other cats want to play on it too. Here he got distracted with Oscar's tail.
I am such a bad mom, I just had to take this picture before I rescued Oscar's tail, Mac had no intentions on letting go.
LG is often found with just his head in the tunnel, trying to spy on Lacee from the opposite end.
Then he goes in for the quick sneak attack on the unsuspecting Lacee.
Don't feel sorry for her though, she is a tough little girl, and she is normally the one to pounce on another unsuspecting victim.

Lacee seems to be very spirited. I like that in a cat.

I love that you visit Prattle. I feel like the summer has slowed me down, but my dog would say otherwise. He thinks I do nothing but sit at the computer.

Lacee looks so cute in the curved scratcher.

My cats did not like the activity center I bought at Walmart (like the one I see in your photo). It wasn't stable enough for their kamikazi jumps. Gave it away to shelter kitties who had nothing and they were happy.

Hi T,
Thanks for visiting my blog and for the Happy Birthday wishes :)
I wanted to ask you about the Feliway plug in. Does it give a soothing aroma? Where can I purchase one? Thanks so much for the tip!!
Your kitties are so cute playing with their new toy!

Seeing all your photos makes me want a cat so bad. If I could just quit my eyes watering, stop sneezing, and breathe without wheezing around them I'd have a dozen. Love all your kitty stories.

I'm glad Lacee is doing better. I have an idea. You don't have to pay money. I can come over. The kitties may want to play with me???? right?

How FUN! You know what else is fun for the cats? Check our a yard sale for one of those baby toys where the baby lays on his back and the little toys are suspended on a little frame. They swing around and are so colorful! My cats love the toy and it's so easy to pack away when you want to have more room in the house. I saw the same thing for sale in a cat catalog for about 30.00...you can pick up a human one at a garage sale for about 5.00!

Your cats always look as though they are having the very best time! You and your hubby give them the very best life, so why shouldn't they look as though they are enjoying it.

Cute toy, cute pictures, cute post!

That new scratcher looks like a lot of fun! But then wrestling with brofurs and sisfurs is fun too!

Thanks so much for the link and info on the feliway. I have a Petsmart not too far away, so I am going to have to try it.

OMC - we have one too, and it was Newman's very first toy, and it is still his most favorite place to play. He loves sleeping in the "S" curve even though he is hanging out all over now that he is a big boy!

How fun! I love the photos of Mac playing with Oscar's tail. You know ~ I am not so sure if "we" should call it bad mother....there was a photo opportunity there. I really think photo op. over rides bad mother. I think I saw it written some where...I really do! ;-)

PS..Mary Elizabeth's stomach flu was a quick one...after she was sick that morning...she slept the day away and woke up happy as could be. Thanks for asking!

Aso, I will keep trying with the e-bay.....with all the good suggestions I have gotten I should get it. ~ I hope ~ THANKS!!
