Updates

It looks like summer has finally hit us really fast. Seems to always just sneak up on us here in the desert. The temperature soars from a nice 90 degrees, to a scorching hot 115, almost over night. Now only to get hotter over the next 2 months. We spend most days indoors, except in the late evenings and early mornings. It has wanted to rain the last few weeks, but we have gotten nothing. Not one drop. Normally I hate the rain, but we can really use some, just to cool down the ground for all the ferals that are trying to stay cool the best they can.

I have been a little under the weather lately, okay, I admit, not just lately, as many of you that have read my blog for awhile know I had been ill since last December. I thought finally I was getting better after seeing the doctor. Either I had a relapse, or I never really got better. Regardless, I had to revisit the doctor a couple weeks ago and have been on new antibiotics for the past two weeks. Oh my, I wasn't feeling good before the antibiotics, but these have had the worst side effects, and I have been miserable for the past couple weeks. Good news, today is my last day taking them. Bad news, I was told if I am not better I need to see a specialist, more tests. I'm not better. *sigh* I am so very tired, and just want to sleep, that is just not like me. I have been staying away from my computer trying to be more physically active trying to fight the lethargy I feel. I keep telling myself "I will get better, I will get better." And.....I know I will.

On to other news, Jeni is doing much better with her fear of hubby's cell phone. She still is not totally comfortable with it, but we are working with her and she is improving. She still wants to seek me out and climb on my back or in my lap, but not quite as panicky as she was.

Hubby attended our minor league baseball game here on Friday and Saturday evening. His company was a sponsor, and all the employees got to enjoy the game from the VIP Box. Hubby was also chosen to throw the first pitch of the game. the funny thing is, hubby and I are not really in to any sports, (well, except Nascar) and I asked him if he thought he should practice, afterall, the only ball throwing he has done over the years, is a tennis ball for the dogs, hahahahaha! I am pleased to say, with no practice, in front of thousands of spectators, he did very well, and he was honored to be chosen. He makes me Proud.

I am sorry to hear you have been ill. Since I am new to your blog I wasn't aware you have had problems since Dec. I have been in that situation and know how all consuming it can become.

Hope the heat breaks for your ferals. It is just so miserable. I imagine it is difficult keeping up with their care since you are not feeling well.

I hope you get to feeling better real soon.

I don't do well with heat either and this week I'm in Vegas where it's about 30 degrees hotter than back at home. I'm also sorry to hear you've been ill. I wasn't aware of that and home you get feeling better soon.

Hi T,
I am so sorry to hear that you have not been feeling well :(
Since we are new blog friends, I did not realize you have been having health problems since December. How trying that must be for you. I hope a specialist will be of some help to you.
That is exciting about your hubby
getting to throw the first pitch!
Take care and I send many wishes for days of better health for you!!

Hi T
Glad Jeni is doing better and Dad did a great throw but I think you need a dose of me. I always make people feel better. Tell doc to write a prescription of norwood for you.

Golly, what kind of a friend have I been to not know that you are still suffering. I guess I had thought that your first round with the Doctor had worked.

Not being able to breathe is a huge problem. So maybe rest is the answer for a little while. I know it is hard for you to stay still, but maybe now is the time.

Goodness, I didn't mean to sound like a bossy Mom. Just know that I care and want to have you well soon.

Sorry to hear you still don't feel well. I just assumed that whatever was wrong was resolved. It's hard to be patient when you feel crappy. Hope you feel better soon! I will try sending healthy thoughts your way.

Sorry to hear you've been under the weather. I have a suggestion for changing your affirmation. Instead of saying, "I will get better" try saying, "I am thankful to be feeling so much better today." That moves good health into the present instead of the future.

Keep me posted.

Thank you all so kindly.

I am doing ok. Plenty of appts coming up this week. One of the side effects from one of the antibiotics I am on causes a lot of dizziness, and makes it difficult for me to write and concentrate.

I have also been coping with constant headache and earaches, which doesn't help me focus.

I'm really not complaining though. I just continue about my day the best I can, and do what I do. It is tiresome, as I have so many dependent on me, and I am always trying to fight the fatigue and the pain I feel.

Hopefully I will have answers soon, and get to feeling better and more energetic again.

Thank you all for the well wishes. Now, I am off to catch up on everyones' blogs.

I am so sorry that you aren't feeling better. Whatever you do...DON'T GIVE UP and push those doctors to find out what is going on with you! Last year I kept telling my doctor that I felt car sick all of the time. Well, I was given all kinds of things to calm my stomach but what do you know...this past week they put a scope in my tummy and I have a bacterial infection and have had it for months! Nice, huh? So don't let them just scratch their heads and show you the door!

I came here from another blog where the darling dog was found to have lung cancer. It seems that you and I follow each other around cyberspace...we seek out those people and animals that are in pain, don't we?

♥Mimi♥ said...

PS: Have them check your blood for Epstein Barr Syndrome! I was tired all the time and after months, that is what they found I had! You gotta push them or they'll just shove your file under a pile of others.

I sure hope you feel better in a hurry - December is a distant memory, and that's a long time to feel crappy.

Send hubby my congrats on the pitch! Maybe he can thank the dogs for helping him to prep. :)

T, I am so sorry to hear of your continuing health concerns. I am wishing you good health and a speedy recovery. Being ill is no fun at all!

115 degrees! I can't imagine. That must be terribly hard on the ferals.

I had no trouble at all getting your blog loaded today, I wonder why? It's nice!

Lots of love,

S.

Hello, there. We are just home from our 3-week trip...it was wonderful!

I'm happy to hear Jeni is doing much better with the cell phone. If anyone can get her over this fear, it will be you and your hubby.

I'm so sorry to hear you are still feeling 'poorly'...I thought you had finally found a doctor who could help you. Maybe a specialist isn't such a bad idea at this point...someone HAS to be able to help you feel better! Good luck with that.

Congrats to your hubby for his pitching abilities...maybe all that practice with the tennis balls paid off, eh?

We'll talk soon.
